2GDATA utilizes pricing intelligence to track and visualize the average weekly industry rate for consulting services across the categories of Data Engineering and Data Analytics services. Those categories are divided into the subcategories of job roles within those categories. This data empowers 2GDATA to align its pricing with job function, required skills, education and years of experience, allowing us to justify rates to our clients, assuring they are getting fair rates for services.

The Problem

Consulting rates in data services are opaque, volatile, and often disconnected from real-time market conditions. Small and medium sized clients lack visibility into fair pricing, while data consulting groups risk underpricing or overpricing without reliable benchmarks. Both our clients and 2G Data benefit from this intelligence.

The Solution

Our pricing intelligence:

  • Aggregates daily rate data from public sources (job platforms, freelance sites, RSS feeds).
  • Classifies roles into Data Engineering or Data Analytics categories and then into 2G defined service sub-categories using skills keyword tagging and NLP.
  • Normalizes rates across experience levels, regions, and contract types.
  • Visualizes YoY and MoM trends to inform pricing decisions and client proposals.

Flexible Contract Types to fit your Needs

We will work with your business on any of the following employment arrangements.

1099-IND (Contractor)

  • Pay as you go pricing, no minimum hour commitment. Part-time, budget focused.
  • Flexible for both company and contractor. Good for hourly consulting with no long-term intent.

W-2 Employee (FT)

  • Contractor hired as an employee of your company. Your company withholds taxes and may provide benefits.
  • Good for role-based demands of your company, more long-term intention, potentially leading to permanent employment.

Corp-to-Corp (C2C)

  • 2GDATA is contracted as a corporate entity, functioning in the capacity of a subcontractor or designated partner.
  • Common in IT consulting when C2C is required by your business.

Services are billed monthly at the 2G weekly rate for the subcategory of services performed at the actual time of service. We do not outsource or subcontract your project. All projects are developed within our group in the United States.
